A rare 1950s Spanish gilt triangular metal sunburst mirror, hand-forged with veined leaf rays radiating from a narrow rope-edged border, set around a triangular mirror plate rather than the round or oval shape most examples take.

The form descends from 17th-century French and Italian gilded sun mirrors, later reworked in Spain through hammered and gilded wrought iron. Round and oval frames make up most surviving pieces, so a triangular example is a genuine departure from the standard form.

The gilding shows natural age-appropriate patina, and the glass is original.
