A five-drawer chest in rattan and bamboo, dating to the 1960s–70s. Two smaller side-by-side drawers sit above three full-width deeper drawers below. The drawer fronts, top and side panels are clad in woven rattan, set within a straight bamboo frame, with bamboo handles throughout.

The bun feet are our favourite detail: stems of bamboo bent consistently to the same tight radius, sitting flush against each other without gap or misalignment, which speaks to a serious level of craft. It's a substantial, well-made piece with good weight to it.

Elle Decor's 2025–2026 trend analysis named rattan and bamboo among the sustainable, tactile materials now considered staples in modern interiors. This substantial piece would work equally well in a bedroom or as a statement chest in a living space.
