A well-preserved example of Central European cabinetmaking from the 1920s. The two doors display exceptionally rich, swirling figured walnut veneer in a symmetrical arrangement, the grain forming dramatic, painterly patterns across the doors.

The form is clean and architectural, with a stepped plinth base and gently rounded top corners that give it a softer profile than its strictly geometric contemporaries. The original lock and key are present and fully working, with a single interior shelf offering practical storage within.

Versatile in the best sense, this would make a beautiful bar cabinet, a drinks, decanter and glassware store, or simply a handsome living room sideboard with concealed storage.
