Details
A French stoneware oyster plate with six shell-form wells surrounding a central sauce cup. The entire surface is cast in a rattan basketweave relief pattern beneath a warm honey-brown glaze, and the textured woven pattern surrounds the shell forms. A set of six stacked, suggesting a full service. French studio pottery of this type was being craft with skill in the 1970s that mass production of the same period rarely matched. In addition, we have a larger sized platter available.
